Description
A vintage professional hat stretcher millinery tool dating back to the 1920s. Manufactured by the Garve Company, Inc. in New York, it was designed to precisely resize men’s and women’s hats by expanding the crown using a manual hand crank. This model features a wooden base with a metal sizing plate and a manual hand crank. The crank moves two aluminum or wooden “blocks” apart to stretch the hat crown. In overall VG condition, needs a good cleaning. Measures 13″ wide, 6.75″deep, 12″ tall.
