Description
Impress and entertain your friends with this extremely rare shoe shine stand that originated in Stefanato’s Cigar Store, hotel in downtown Wabash IN. Circa around 1890. The stand has a very impressive mechanism, that when the front drawer is pulled out, which contains the various sizes of polishing pads, the foot rests extend out for use. There is a small counting mechanism which keeps track of the number of customers. Also adding to the rarity of the stand is probably one of the first to use an electric motorized flexible cable that utilizes the polishing pads to buff shoes. The chair base is constructed of mahogany wood and marble. Item looks complete. Here is your chance to own a seldom seen museum type item. Overall good condition.
