The Frank Rider Collection - Spring Classic Part 1 - Day 2
Lot 1079:
Description
Like new and never used, this Aermore 4-note whistle (also known as the “Big Four”) is a vintage exhaust-powered horn popularized in the 1910s and 1920s as an accessory for cars like the Ford Model T. Manufactured by the Fulton Company of Milwaukee Wisconsin, it was famously marketed as “The Signal with a Smile” because its harmonious, four-tone chord sounded like a classic steam locomotive rather than a harsh electric horn. Measures 14.75″ long, 3″ in diameter. No actuating valve included.
