Description
This collection of six cast plaster dragon heads features a striking Mesoamerican-inspired aesthetic, reminiscent of the feathered serpent deity Quetzalcoatl. Each piece is finished in a weathered black and faux-verdigris green, designed to mimic aged bronze or stone. These stylized architectural or decorative accents feature intricate scrolling and tiered “petals” at the base. While the manufacturer is unidentified, the craftsmanship suggests mid-to-late 20th-century decorative production. The condition varies across the set; several pieces exhibit significant chipping and structural damage, particularly to the neck areas and base petals, exposing the white plaster beneath the finish.
