Hollywood Blvd Cinema Memorabilia
Lot 1195:
Description
This striking, life-sized floor sculpture is a premier example of the Egyptian Revival aesthetic, featuring a female figure in a regal kneeling-adjacent pose with arms raised to support a lotus-style basin. The piece is finished in a rich faux-bronze and gold leaf patina, accented by intricate mirrored mosaic tiling along the headdress, bodice, and skirt, reminiscent of the “Cleopatra” Hollywood Regency style. The craftsmanship suggests a high-end decorative manufacturer from the late 20th century, likely inspired by the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb and subsequent Art Deco trends. The item appears to be in excellent condition with no visible chips or cracks to the resin or composite body; all mosaic tiles appear intact, and the metallic finish remains vibrant with minimal scuffing at the base. Includes the artificial fern as pictured. H 80″, W 26″, D 24″. Please use photos to judge condition and bid accordingly. Please note: Buyer is responsible for removal. From the Hollywood Blvd. Cinemas Collection.
