Hollywood Blvd Cinema Memorabilia
Lot 1191:
Description
A rare and intimate piece of Hollywood history, this “Restoration” series archival print captures a 1953 self-portrait of legendary photographer Milton H. Greene and Marilyn Monroe. First published in Milton’s Marilyn, this high-resolution digital restoration was produced by The Archives, LLC (est. 2006), utilizing Hewlett Packard’s Designjet UV printers on Hahnemühle Fine Art watercolor paper. The image showcases the profound creative bond between the pair during their second sitting in Los Angeles. The piece is housed in an ornate, dark-toned composite or wood-gilt frame with floral relief details. The overall condition appears good, though there is a prominent vertical crack or deep scratch running through the center of the glass/acrylic and the backing paper, and the frame shows minor shelf wear. H 23″, W 18″, D 1.5″ Please use photos to judge condition and bid accordingly. Please note: Buyer is responsible for removal. From the Hollywood Blvd. Cinemas Collection.
