Originally acquired from Old Chicago Amusement Park in Bolingbrook, IL comes an imposing and grand example of classical estate statuary, standing at a significant height that commands attention in any landscape. The piece is constructed from heavy cast iron and features four progressively smaller, scalloped basins supported by ornate, fluted pedestals, all topped with a decorative fleur-de-lis finial. Its design draws heavily from Victorian-era foundry patterns, characterized by the deep lobing on the bowls and the classical proportions of the central column. The fountain currently exhibits a heavily weathered, multi-layered patina with prominent verdigris and oxidized tones, which provides a sought-after antique aesthetic. Objectively, the item shows surface rust, mineral deposits, and finish loss consistent with prolonged outdoor exposure; however, the casting remains structurally robust with no immediately apparent cracks to the main basins.
