Description
A garden armillary sphere sundial mounted on a classical column pedestal. The sphere is crafted from patinated metal, likely bronze or brass, featuring an arrow gnomon and a Roman numeral time band. The mounting plate is clearly signed “Henri Studio / Palatine, ILL”. The sphere rests on a heavy cast stone pedestal with a black finish, decorated with vertical fluting and relief acanthus leaf details. Condition is weathered; the metal sphere exhibits heavy verdigris oxidation, while the pedestal shows significant finish loss, peeling paint, and chipping to the underlying stone material.
