Description
A fantastic piece of maritime advertising, this embossed tin sign features the classic “Evinrude ‘Hooded Power’ Outboard Motors” in a striking orange, black, and cream color scheme. The sign highlights the “Sportsman” model for “$55” and includes a detailed graphic of the motor on the left. It is customized for the local dealer “Julius G. Petriak” of “Cary, Ill.”, reachable at “Phone 56J1”. The piece exhibits authentic wear, including rust and corrosion particularly along the edges and corners. There are bends and creases in the metal which are also visible from the reverse, along with surface scratches and paint loss throughout the front.
