Lot 1152:
Description
This is a World War II German Mauser K98 converted into a sniper rifle. Chambered in 8mm, this rifle displays serial number “6577” on the left side of the receiver ring and “dot 1944” on the top of the ring (covered by the scope mount). German proof markings are visible on the barrel, receiver, bolt and trigger guard assembly. The rifle is equipped with a post-war Hensoldt Wetzlar Diatal 4×32 scope, a similar design to the post-reticle World War II style. The optics are clear. The scope mounts are reproduction, however, they are the correct World War II style “see through” mounts. The rifle has been reblued and the original sling is supple and in good condition for its age. The bore and rifling are in good shape. The wood stock is in good condition, showing normal wear from use and storage. Action and trigger are smooth and tight. This is a very good quality conversion, excellent for a German reenactor. Please see photos for overall condition. Overall Length: 43.75
S/N: 6577
