Description
Colt model 1878/1902 Alaskan or Philippine model double action revolver. Caliber 45 Long Colt. Civilian production model of Colt revolver sold to US Army as replacement for 1873 Single Action. Double action mechanism works, but is sticky from age. Finish is well worn and shows very little original bluing. Finish has lots of rust spotting and holster wear. left bakelite colt grip panel has poorly done repair and right panel has been replaced with nicely carved wood. Interesting side note firearm which is relatively unknown. See photos.
