Description
American Patter percussion revolver. This .38 caliber revolver features a 3.75-inch, octagonal barrel with a 5-shot cylinder. The cylinder features a roll-engraved naval scene. The top of the barrel displays the markings “MERICAN PATTER”. There is a crossed key inscription on the bottom of the barrel. The frame is inscribed with “CAL 38” and the serial number “25842”. The metal components show heavy, dark, and uneven patina and surface rust/pitting and the walnut grips shows wear from usage. The bore has light oxidation, and the rifling groves are fair. The action and trigger are smooth and tight. The overall length of the revolver is 9.5-inches.
