Description

This is an excellent, contemporary interpretation of the classic Mission/Arts and Crafts high-back rocking chair. While it faithfully reproduces the style’s key elements—the heavy, straight lines, vertically-spindled back and sides, and plank arms—its fit and finish, confirm it is a recent production. It is executed in solid oak, likely quarter-sawn white oak, with a clean, medium-toned stain that highlights the distinctive grain. The construction features clean, precise joinery, indicative of modern production standards that honor the traditional exposed mortise-and-tenon look. The chair is presented in excellent, nearly new condition with no visible scratches, chips, or wear to the wood finish. The removable, foam-filled cushion, upholstered in a neutral, textured fabric, is also clean and free of fading. This piece offers the timeless appeal of the Mission style with modern-day durability and comfort. H 45″, W 28.5″, D 31″ NOTE: Pickup/transport required. Contacts available post auction.
