Description
This is a plains Indian leather belt and knife sheath. The belt is made of a light-colored leather with stitching on the top and bottom edge as well as the center rear portion of the interior. All around the belt are woven designs in dyed porcupine quills, of which much has been lost. The knife sheath itself is decorated with a series of beaded glass seed beads of green, red and blue near the opening. Inside the sheath is a handmade knife with a handmade handle. Dry, but stable condition. Dimensions: 16”x8x8”. See photos.
