Description
This wide basket tray exemplifies traditional Hopi craftsmanship and dates to approximately 1910. Crafted from wicker, it utilizes a woven technique that creates concentric rings radiating from the center. This versatile form often used for food preparation such as sifting, and for serving. There is some loss of weave at the rim. Dimensions: 16” diameter, and between 4” and 4.5” tall (does not sit quite flat). Base diameter approximately 6”. See photos.
