Description
This mid- 20th Century Navajo hand-woven “Ye Be Chei” rug. It features a central panel of stylized dancers in the Navajo Nightway ceremony with their characteristic masks, kilts and ceremonial objects in earth tones using natural wool and dyes. It is bordered by a contrasting geometric design in black and cream. Plain selvage edge on piece. It beautifully showcases the intricate weaving abilities and cultural traditions of the Navajo peoples. Condition is good. Dimensions: 51” x 36”. See photos.
