Description

This Nez Perce corn husk bag circa 1910s is woven from corn husks and adorned with vibrant geometric patterns in red blue and other natural tones. On one side of the bag are a series of geometric triangles and diamonds and on the other side of the bag are what would appear to be pennants or guidon flags. At the top edge of the opening is what appears to be a hangar sewn into the exterior of the fabric. There is some loss to the original weave but it looks to have indigenous repairs made to it. Dimensions: 12.5” tall x 11” wide. Please see photos.
