Beautiful ENGRAVING of a German couple on one side and a German boy target shooting on the other, A fine Schnabel stock, These rifles often have a distinctive Tyrolean-style stock with a cheek piece, thumb rest, and a Schuetzen buttplate Double set triggers “Original System Aydt” refers to a single-shot target rifle design, specifically the Aydt action, patented in 1884 and developed in 1890 for pistols by Carl Wilhelm Aydt, who worked for C.G. Haenel. Haenel used the “Original-System-Aydt” name for their rifles and later for their pistols. These rifles, often called Schuetzen rifles, were known for their accuracy and were popular in competitive shooting matches.
