Description
A classic and highly graphic general store tobacco bin for “Tiger Chewing Tobacco” by the P. Lorillard Company. This early 20th-century tin litho caddy was used on a store counter to hold and dispense 48 five-cent packages of “Bright Sweet Chewing Tobacco.” The iconic and powerful image of the tiger makes this a very desirable piece for any collector of tobacciana or country store advertising. The tin is in good, as-found condition, showing numerous scratches, scuffs, and small dings consistent with a long life of commercial use. The colors remain vibrant and the graphics are strong. Dimensions: 8″ diameter x 11.5″” tall.
