Description
I’m going to start by letting our customers know about the radio enthusiast who owned all these wonderfully restored radios. He collected them, appreciated the vintage history and beauty. He restored them for his personal collection, that now is being sold. You know they have been done to perfection.
An outstanding Art Deco style radio by Crosley Radio Corporation. It is often referred to as the “Victory Model” due to the labeling on the huge and impressive dial. This radio is the Crosley 66TC and was first offered in September of 1945. It was originally scheduled to be part of Crosley’s 1942 product line but was delayed until after the end of WW II. The beautiful wood cabinet has walnut veneer with a large double lit dial and side cutouts – just a beautiful design that has made this model extremely desirable with collectors. The chassis is an outstanding and innovative design using 6 tubes and offering Broadcast (AM) and Short Wave (SW) bands with an interior loop antenna. The radio also has a connection for external antenna and aux input. . It has had a complete electronics tune up with new capacitors; tubes and resistors checked and replaced as needed.
