October Fall Classic
Lot 2067:
Description
A pre-flipper “wood rail” pinball machine, this is the 1947 “Mexico” by United Manufacturing of Chicago. The game boasts a colorful and fun “south of the border” theme, with fantastic graphics on the cabinet, back glass, and playfield. This is a complete, non-working project machine. The cabinet paint is well-worn, with numerous scuffs and scratches. Mounted on wood legs. Coin door in front has no lock and is broken open (sse pics). Coin mech is intact. The playfield shows heavy wear and planking, with significant loss to the graphics. All bumper caps are missing as well as the glass playfield top. The back glass has some flaking but still displays well. Its working condition is unknown and it is being offered as-is. The machine is estimated to be 50″ long, 23″ wide, 62″ tall.
Circa 1940’s cast aluminum carousel horse most likely from a San Antonio Roller Works or a Mangles carousel. All we know is that it came off of a carousel that was parted out in southern Illinois in the 1970’s. The horse is a jumper with very nice paint. Comes mounted on a pole and a steel diamond plate base. Comes with a pair of stirrups but no straps or bridle.
