October Fall Classic
Lot 1319:
Description
This lot of two antique streetlights are from Evanston, Illinois, most likely dating from the 1930’s-1940’s. The poles are approximately 15’ overall in height. They consist of 4 pieces made of heavy cast iron steel. The heavy cast iron bases are 20” in diameter and 27” tall. A 7-½” heavy cast iron lower collar features oak leaves and acorns. The long tapers and fluted pole are made of steel. There is a small 4” hole cut into the large end done by municipal workers upon removal – this can be easily eliminated by shortening it. The heavy cast iron top holder is 12” H X a 7” fitter, featuring oak leaves. All pieces have rust and pitting and are in need of restoration. Should restore nicely.
Note: Pickup/ Transport required. Contacts available post auction.
