Description
This monumental cast bronze sculpture captures a beautiful moment of childhood play, depicting a boy and girl enthusiastically engaged in a game of teeter-totter or seesaw. The garden sculpture is executed in a naturalistic, mid-to-late 20th-century style, focusing on the joyful expressions and detailed clothing of the children, which includes a girl in overalls and a boy in shorts and a t-shirt. The heavy bronze material features a deep, desirable verdigris patina that has developed naturally over time from outdoor exposure, enhancing its vintage appeal. The central A-frame pedestal is geometrically pleasing and structurally sound. The overall composition is lively and would serve as a fantastic focal point for a large garden, park, or public space. The piece is in very good overall condition consistent with outdoor display, showing the expected development of a weathered patina and minor surface dirt in the crevices, but no significant damage or structural defects are visible.
