Description
This is a great piece of agricultural advertising, specifically a Dairyland Seed dealer sign, which features a distinctive shield-like shape that immediately catches the eye. The sign is constructed of plastic (polyethylene or similar composite) and is actually two signs riveted together to create a double-sided display, which would have been designed to hang outdoors or from a post. It prominently features the company’s striking red and white shield logo with the bold black “D S” and “DAIRYLAND SEED” text, advertising for local dealers “STEVE & BARB LENZ.” Dealer-specific signs like this often appeal more to collectors with local ties to the company’s distribution area, but the classic design is broadly appealing to farm implement and seed sign collectors. The condition is fair to good, exhibiting overall surface dirt, light scuffing, and minor fading consistent with long-term outdoor use.
