Description
This is a Zenith Radio 9s365 Art Deco Radio Shutter Dial Stars and Bars / World Fair / Patriotic model from 1939. It has the original 1939 Zenith 9-Tube. It can be used as a Bluetooth Speaker and as a Guitar Amplifier. The radio has the green magic eye and a large acoustic adapter speaker. It is a highly sought after black Shutter Dial Model 9-S-365 with 3 bands. It has motorized / automatic tuning. It has a replica speaker grille cloth. It has aux input for a Bluetooth receiver, TV, LP, CD, electric guitar, etc. This aux input is controlled by a switch on the back that was originally used to connect a TV. This chassis has been completely gone through and restored. The tuner was removed, cleaned, and re-lubricated. All capacitors (except a few Mica) have been replaced, as well as all out-of-tolerance resistors, and all bad wiring. The tubes were checked, and any weak ones were replaced. The radio was then re-aligned to factory specifications, and receives stations all across the dial. The cabinet was stripped down to the original patina, re-stained, and various shades of toner were applied. It was then given several coats of lacquer for a satin finish.
