October Fall Classic
Lot 1168:
Description
They simply don’t make them like this anymore. This is a classic example of American industrial design from the Art Deco era, a Koldair Model K8 fan by the Knapp-Monarch Company of Belleville, Illinois. Built with a heavy cast metal body and motor housing, this fan was made to last a lifetime. The charming green paint and stylized wire cage are iconic for the period. It’s a fantastic decorative piece that speaks to an era of quality manufacturing. The fan displays a heavy, authentic patina in great condition. The power cord appears to be a later replacement. Works beautifully. H 11″, W 8″, D 5″. Fan blade diameter 7.5″.
