Description
25 cent nicely restored Watling Rol-A-Top slot machine with the early “American coin” front casting. Due to U.S. government concerns that the display of American coins constituted counterfeiting, the Watling Manufacturing company had to modify the front castings to avoid displaying American coins. Later machines feature a casting with ancient and generic coins. As a result, the machines that feature an “American coin” style front are particularly rare and sought after by collectors. Original reels, plays and pays, replaced lock and key. Measures 26″ tall, 16″ wide, 15″ deep. NOTE: Pickup/Transport required. Contacts available post-auction.
