Description
Beautiful high detail zinc chocolate mold featuring Popeye the Sailor Man. In VG+ condition with all locks present and stamped H. Walter Berlin and Van Emden Co. New York. Mold will produce 3 Popeyes. Very clean and still usable. Measures 8″ tall, 8″ wide, 2.25″ deep.
H. Walter was a German company founded by Hermann Walter in 1866, and was the first German factory to produce chocolate molds. The company operated in Berlin until 1977. The company gained a reputation for its high-quality, metal, and tin-plated chocolate molds. They produced a wide variety of molds, including intricate and detailed designs for various themes and holidays, such as Christmas and Easter.
The company partnered with distributors, including the Van Emden Company in New York, to sell its molds in other countries
