Description
A truly iconic piece of 1980s Pop Art/New Wave aesthetic, this display mannequin embodies the sleek, stylized figures popularized by Patrick Nagel’s highly sought-after artwork. Its striking features—the stylized, dark hair, the elegant, posed stance with one hand reaching out, and the signature minimalist facial details—make it a perfect 3D representation of the women who graced the covers of Playboy and Architectural Digest during that era. Constructed from a lightweight, durable fiberglass composite, the mannequin is finished in an off-white tone with distinctive green-painted eyes and a hint of pink on the lips, capturing that cool, detached sophistication. This piece shows significant signs of age and wear consistent with a working retail fixture. There are numerous scuffs and scratches across the body and head, with some discoloration and dark marks visible, particularly on the face, shoulders, and legs. Some of the joints appear loose, and the paint is worn away in several places, notably on the hands and feet.
