Description
Here is a World War II front seam, swivel bale M1 helmet with a 1974 dated, overlap strap liner. The helmet retains much of its original finish/corking and has the common dent at the top of the helmet. The chin straps are a Vietnam era production, made by North and Judd IIRC and they are both the right-side strap. The helmet does show wear from field use. The liner is in fair condition. The webbing is present, however, has tears throughout. The sweatband is brittle and broken at the front. This helmet is definitely a candidate for a restoration and a re-enactors project.
