Description
original production WWI US Army Model 1918 Bar “Walking Fire” ammunition belt with Butt cup. Special belt made to use for Walking Fire assault technique planned for 1919 Summer Offensive that never happened. These belts were made then put immediately into storage where they stayed till the 1940-1950s when they were sold as surplus unused. This belt is in excellent condition for age with still clear makers mark Long 7-18. The only real damage is some surface rust on metal butt cup and cracked leather backing. Excellent rarely seen display item. See photos.
