One of Two entry / vestibule doors and casings that the current owner says came out of the Potter Palmer mansion in Chicago which was torn down in 1950. This would have been the inner vestibule door In overall good to VG condition. The door is made from solid mahogany and measures 96″ tall, 42″ wide, and 2.75″ thick. It has 4 panels with burled insets that matches the stiles of the door. Both sides of the door are the same. The door has the plates but no knobs. It has been drilled some time ago for a cylinder lock. There are no hinges. The door casing is heavily carved with fluted columns and acanthus leaves on the sides topped by a pediment with carvings of roses. The casing has been drilled in several places for screws. Casing measures 110″ tall, 52″ wide, @ 6″ deep.
