This grouping is perfect for a re-enactor display of 101st Airborne in WWII. It includes: 1) Modern manufacture
Reinforced M1942 Jump Jacket, size 40. 101st Airborne Division patch on left shoulder. Jump wings w/ 2 stars, and unknown gold torch with wing pin affixed alongside. 2) Framed reprint of the famous photograph of General Dwight Eisenhower speaking to men of the 101st ABN Division prior to D-Day. According to consigner, the back of the image is autographed by Lance Decker (whom he met in 2007), identified by arrow pointing to him in center next to Ike. His story is written on back of frame cardboard. 3) De-framed montage of three images and a “diary entry” Two of the photo prints are likely printed circa 1940’s of Douglas C-47’s being serviced at Homestead FLA. Original photos taken 10-5-1943. In the center of the grouping is a modern print of a paratrooper fully outfitted, climbing into a C-47. Next to that is a page from a notebook [authenticity unknown] written by “Tom” to his parents, dated 6/5/44 regarding the gear he is carrying. All still affixed to the frame backer. Perfect for your 101st Airborne Division display.
