Ceremonial sash or banner dedicated “To the Loyal Employees of the Salzburg Outpost for Torrent and Avalanche Control.” Silk w/ bullion fringe on either end. Printed silver words on either side of banner, German text : “Dem Treuen Mitarbeiter D. AubestelleSalzburg” -translation: “To the Loyal Employees of the Salzburg Outpost” (or “Branch Office Salzburg”) and “fur Wildbach und Lawinenverbauung”-translation: ”for Torrent and Avalanche Control”. Swastika roundels 5” diameter applied to ends of banner. Dimensions: 8” wide x 136” long. See photos for condition.
