Civil War Auction
Lot 1121:
Description
Civil War dropped, Fired and Battlefield Relics.
A selection of eleven tree/wooden chunks of various sizes with bullets still lodged in them. All have been coated for preservation/protection. A fascinating way to see actual damage from these fired rounds. Along with these battlefield souvenirs are a collection of dropped, unfired bullets and deformed shot examples that exhibit impact on their target, and echo the battle’s past. Majority of the examples are .69 caliber three ring Minie ball, with several other examples like a .577 Enfield bullet and partial .69 caliber “buck and ball” round. Overall, a great collection for a historic or educational display. See pictures.
