Description
A nice folding camp chair, named to “J. REED – CAPT /31st VOL/INF>” carved into the wood on the lower back of the chair. measures 31″ x 16″ x 16″ fully opened. The carpet material used for seating is stable and vibrant, with minimal fraying on seat edges. It is constructed with rivets and screws [4 screws on front and back of seat material. A well built chair with minor scuffs and marks to the wood that still retains its strength and durability. However, we recommend not sitting on a piece this old. It should be a fun research project for the Civil War collector or historian.
