Description
Civil War 1849 Colt pocket powder flask. Colt made a variety of designs for this pocket flask. This particular example has the same design on both sides of the flask. The Federal eagle with 13 stars above, clutching arrows and olive branches in its talons, above a pair of crossed Colt revolvers and the “E Pluribus Unum” banner at the base. Slightly dented, and missing the threaded spout. Measures 4″ tall x 2″ wide x 1″ deep. This flask was part of the Civil War & Indian Wars display at Donley’s Wild West Town Museum for 45 years.
