Heavy stamped steel route storage box with round top and “U.S. Mail Storage Box” embossed on the door. In original dark green paint, lock on door missing and has been replaced with a barrel bolt. These storage boxes were used in the city along a mail carriers route to replenish his mail bag as he proceeded along his route. In good+ condition. Measures 54″ tall, 25″ wide, 27″ deep.
