Description
Early Western Union Telegraph and Cable Office double sided porcelain flange sign in VG original condition. White letters on dark blue background. Minor edge chipping and at the flange. No repairs or touch ups. Metal in sign not bent but a little wavy. Marked B.S. Co. 52 State Street Chgo & Harvey Ill.. B.S. Co. stands for Burdick Sign Co. which was a manufacturer of porcelain signs starting in 1895. The sign was part of the Telegraph Office display at the Wild West Town Museum in Union IL since 1974. Measures 31″ wide, 15″ tall.
