Oak Mills Violano serial number 1797. Good restoration candidate. It has its original violin which is market Mills Novelty Company on the paper label inside the violin. There are no strings present, otherwise the violin appears to be in good condition. The tuning weights and arms are present but appear to be reproductions. Oak cabinet has original front bifold doors and beveled glass and hardware, One of the front columns is missing a capital – see photos. Has original coin mechanism. The coin box and front cover are older reproductions. The sounding board appears to be in good condition with no visible cracks. The cast iron harp is free of any cracks, the piano action appears to have been reconditioned as well as the piano having been re-strung some time ago. The oak cabinet appears to have been professionally refinished. There are several minor nicks and scrapes and some veneer damage on the edges of the top cover. The roll-frame motor/generator and governor are all present. The contact roller is also present, but detached. This machine is not in playing condition and in need of restoration. 64″H x 42″W x 30″ D
