A once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of racing history. The pace car for the 1967 Indianapolis 500 was a white 1967 Chevrolet Camaro convertible driven by racing legend Mauri Rose with Tony Hullman, the owner of the racetrack, sitting in the passenger seat. This number 1 Official Car plate was affixed to the rear of that pace car. All of the plates were supposed to be destroyed after the race but a Chevrolet Zone Manager withheld the number 1 plate. The plate is in VG original condition comes framed with a letter of provenance from A.B. Connor who was the Atlanta Assistant Branch Manager for Chevrolet in 1991. and fully explains how the plate survived.
