This car is a restoration project and is disassembled . It has been consigned by the same owner of the 1969 Shelby in the previous lot. It’s VIN is the next number from the previous Shelby. The current owner restored the previous Shelby and was intending to start this one but has decided to offer both vehicles at auction instead. Here is your chance to restore a classic Shelby Mustang per your specifications. A parts inventory list follows

DRIVETRAIN
Complete 428 CJ Engine, correct date codes and confirmation of 428 authenticity, previous owner claims rebuilt. Missing “old school” single point distributor and “correct” carburetor. Correct distributor and carburetor are still available through various vendors. Original exhaust “H-pipe, ” complete system, and rear valance outlet exhaust outlet port included. No hoses, belts, or radiator included.
Correct cast iron tail shaft housing C-6 Automatic transmission REBUILT and includes new converter
Complete “drum to drum 9” Ford rear axle/differential, correct ratio
BODY
Complete shell, work & transport stand INCLUDED! Admittedly, shell will need extensive repair but complete new body shells, built to original Ford specs, ready to prime & paint, are available and are not cost prohibitive when compared to finished product value. Both original front fenders, both doors, hood, trunk lid included. Also, rear fender extensions and Shelby specific headlight buckets & associated parts are included.
EXTERIOR TRIM
Both original bumpers are included. Front bumper is re-chromed original. All original windshield and rear glass moldings included and are of a much higher quality than reproduction versions that are available. The rare, and usually expensive, front hood “peak” molding is included and in good shape.
SUSPENSION
Rear leaf springs w/new shackle & hardware kits included. Front lower control arms included, no uppers or front coil springs. As with most “missing” parts, these parts are relatively generic and today’s versions are of a better quality than OE.
BRAKES
Rear drum brakes are still intact, but master cylinder and front brake assemblies are not but still available.
INTERIOR
Complete metal dashboard frame, dash pad, instrument cluster and clock panel, center console and gauges, rear interior quarter panels, bucket seats, upper and lower rear seat, complete fold down rear seat, rear inner hatch, and all interior glass & pillar post trim. Glove box door and box included. Complete heater box included. Basically, ALL essential large components. Most soft trim, including door panels and carpeting are included, but will most likely need to be replaced due to age and wear, obviously, which is a normal part of any thorough restoration. Original “rim-blow” steering wheel and column included.
GLASS
All window hardware, regulators, etc. are included. Driver’s door glass included, passenger side is not. Front windshield included, rear glass is not. Both rear quarter (wing) windows included. Rear glass still available at very reasonable cost though various vendors.
ELECTRICAL
All wiring harnesses, including sub-harnesses are included, but most or all will need some repair. Alternator & voltage regulator are missing but as with other “missing” parts are somewhat generic and still readily available.
MISCELLANEOUS
Included with car are HUNDREDS of original and some new fasteners, hardware pieces, etc. Assembly, electrical and other manuals are available if so desired.
