Guns & Military
Lot 3315c:
Description
William Ellis and Son Black powder Shotgun in poor to fair condition. The entire gun (Except barrels) has been varnished, the hammer ears are broke off and the the action is inoperative. Here we have a typical British-made Double Barreled Percussion shotgun, possibly intended for the large U.S. import market. It is marked on both lock plates with W. ELLIS, for William Ellis, a known London gunmaker who ran a shop out of 61 Saint James Street during the mid 19th Century. Nice wallhanger or restoration project! C&R Eligible S/N:nsn
