Description
Manufactured by P D Luneschloss in Germany and distributed by Tiffany & Company New York. The ricasso is faintly marked Tiffany Co. New York on one side and “Guaranteed to cut wrought iron” on the other. Upper scabbard hanger mount is stamped “D”. Blade is 31.75″ and overall length is 39″. The blade is etched with US motif and Federal eagle with sunrays on the other side. Blade shows past cleaning but etchings are clear crisp. Blade tip is good and blade has no chips or dings. “Shark Skin” grip shows lost and grip wrap is missing. Handle and crossguard are tight and show much age and wear. Scabbard is down to bare metal with area of old sticker residue. Has serious dings or dents. Tiffany swords always capture the collector’s attention.
