This a set of 2 which includes 1) sponge/rammer cleaning rod and “worm’ rod. The sponge/rammer is 84” long and the shift is unmarked and painted in newer Olive drab medium gloss paint. The sponge is a carpet material held in place with with old nails with square leather washers. Ram end has a copper collar held in place with copper nails. 2) The “Worm” rod is 95″ long and is painted the same Olive drab medium glass paint. It marked “NEW JERSEY” in block stamps and has paper label with typed “12 pdr. WORM MARKED “NEW JERSEY” SECURED FOR MEMORIAL HALL BY:” (not signed”. Also has GAR embossed seal for the Hagerstown Maryland GAR. Both show wear and use. This set is critical to any 12 IB cannon for function and display.
