This tintype is a 1/9 plate studio portrait in 3″ x 3.5″ hinged case. It is sharp image of Union Cavalry officer in shell jacket holding his sword with his revolver in belt. The case is a typical leatherette case with broken hinge. .This one has all the bell and whistles collectors like to see.
