Spectacular British carousel dropper board or valence for an switchback carousel, this was the sole carousel designed to commemorate the officers of the BOER war 1898-1903. The image on the dropper board features Lord Frederick Roberts was one of the most distinguished commanders of the British Empire. Perfectly accented with vivid gold leaf on red paint with the original draperies painted on its reverse. Good overall condition with some cracks that add character; some age related blemishes noted. Approximately 36″t x 7″w x 108″l and truly a fascinating one of a kind find. Please use photos to judge condition and bid accordingly.
