American. 1942. War effort metal restrictions caused Wurlitzer designers to get creative with this Art Deco form masterpiece. One of Wurlitzer’s most recognizable models with stunning carved pedestals, burled veneers, and carved feathers forming a “V” on the grille. In contrast to the darker machines made a decade earlier, this cabinet illuminates to spark optimism, like the war-era songs it was built to play. Keyboard selector version. Rudolph Wurlitzer Company. 65.5″T x 36″W x 24″D. Professionally restored and serviced. Excellent restored working condition. Plays 78 RPM records.
