Description
Large framed oil on canvas after the painting, "The Immaculate Conception" by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo (1696-1770). This subject was a favorite to copy amongst nuns with artistic talent. They were meant to hang in their church or convent and are seldom signed. This example has age to it with surface cracking and evidence of repairs on the rear side of the canvas (see photos. Frame measures 48" tall, 38" wide.
