Description
Monkey on a bicycle automaton music box made by Symphonion in Germany circa 1890. Side wind 5.75" disc music box in good running condition with no broken teeth in the comb. Music box housed in a 7.5" wide, 6.5" deep, 5" tall wood case. Case is topped by an automaton scene of a monkey on a bicycle riding in a circle entering and exiting a classical building using the motion of the music box disc to move. On the front of the building is a 3 piece dog band who move when the music is playing. The motion mechanism is complete but tempermental and will need adjusting. The music box comes with 1 disc. In overall VG condition.
